I'd like to address such questions as the affordances and limitations of these tools, students feedback about using them and recommendations for teachers concerning how to introduce them in their classroom practices and/or use them more efficiently. I'll draw this information from the study i'm finishing now but for the presentation I'll focus on practical issues connected with the application of these tools. A working title of my presentation is Peer-editing using MS Word, blogs and wikis: how to make the most of them?
About Natalya Eydelman
I'm a teacher of English from Novosibirsk State University (Russia) currently on an MA & ICT program in University of Leeds on a sholarship from the Hornby fund. I'm interested in teaching writing and been using technology to do it for about 10 years now. I started with using email, then email exchanges, and then blogs. I've been teaching an ICT course for future teachers of English at my university now with the focus on Web 2.0 tools. I regularly make presentations about my experiences in my city and at conferences on ICT. My most recent presentation was in June at the biennial ICT conference in Moscow where I spoke about the study I'm conducting now. In April I presented at IATEFL in Harrogate about using portfolio assessment in language learning.
