Unfortunately I can not seem to control whether a member can blog or not. The only controls are related to, whether one can change the design of the member page.
The blogs on this site are used to publish the recordings. Hence my restrictions
and this is why the label 'Blog' is not there which I changed to 'RECORDING'.
How would you publish the recordings any other than blogs? I used to create these complete pages http://www.virtual-round-table.com/page/recordings-day-1-april-22 for example to publish the recordings but it was not easy for sharing. So, I started using the blogs. Not sure whether they work well though, because on the AVALON project NING I did the same and this one is now 'cluttered' with other blogs and are almost inaccessible. Not even Howie of slanguages.net found the first 20 recordings easily. When I published 37 recordings, all I saw was 20 and a link to 'Previous blogs', this is why Howie missed 17.
So where is it best to publish the recordings do you think?
I am ever so sorry about deleting your blog post with your newsletter.
However, as you know I am a great fan and admirer of the work you do and warmly invite you to present this at the upcoming Virtual Round Table on March 25-26, 2010.
Knowing that you have already tentatively said yes to my request, I am hoping that this will be fix in your calendar.
Looking forward to it very much. BTW, you could if you wished present in SL or in Adobe ConnectPro, whatever fits your theme best. Both is streamed in Adobe.
Welcome Shamblesguru,
please enjoy the first virtual-round-table conference with 35 guest speakers. Feel free to add ideas and questions in the virtual classroom text chat. We are very much looking forward to your comments and feedback.
Have a nice day.
