1. Learn some basic things about living in medieval village.
2. Join a medieval role playing sim.
3. Develop a character.
4. Reflect how these environments can help learn a different language.

You should wear medieval clothes to join us in this adventure. If you don't have any.. don't worry.. we'll get you some...

Watson & Baker published 1984 their studies on how we

communicate. Their research showed that we humans communicate 55% by

listening, 24% speaking, 13% reading and 8% writing. Has this changed?

Today we communicate mostly in text chat via Instant Messenger (Skype,

Thank you for your comment -I've worked a bit more on my character but I don't know yet when we'll be having our 2nd class. I love this roleplay -and that's without having started thinking of it from a pedagogical perspective!

I vote for days to have more hours..

Farewell, milady...

Dear Doris,

I visited lots of the LM you gave me for roleplay outfits -great things and amazing places!!! I then met another RL educator with lots of experience in SL and his wife, who's really into fashion and now I have lots of things to continue exploring and having fun with. I've decided I'm going to be a Bard on the way to a Druidess if possible.

I have one question (many, but let's start with one): do I need to change my avatar's name for the roleplay? And among all the useful info you gave me there was a piece that said I could get metered at the village entrance -should I do it or should I wait for Tammy or you to help and /or authorize?

Dear Doris,

I enjoyed the tour very much. Thank you for letting me join and helping me -I hope we meet again soon. I'll work on my character and read the rules and history of my new village. I hope I can be an artisan...Your clothes are very beautiful, BTW. I've also bookmarked the wiki and blog.

kind regards

Bea

Hi Doris,

I would have loved to attend the Medieval workshop (edited an outfit and everything -the top part of my hair was missing but I was told I need to get it from outside my inventory). There were just too many interesting sessions!

Do you meet regularly for Medieval role-playing? I've joined a group that does something similar in Italian (it's role-playing but with a micro-movie as a goal) and I'd love to join you if you meet regularly.

Warm regards
Beatriz
