Since I moved to the states last summer from Europe, we at LANCELOT School, have realized that we can offer this Virtual Round Table conference during the times when Europe (and the guru Heike) is asleep. I got to thinking yesterday if we could have volunteers from different timezones who would like to work with us and help prepare the next VRT conference scheduled for this coming October we could offer the sessions longer. Yesterday, the sessions for those of us in the western part of the states went from 3 AM to 2 PM and it would have been nice if we could have continued during the hourswhen many of our north American teaching colleagues were not teaching i.e. evenings. I'm sure it is the same for those of you in Asia and Austrailia/New Zealand. What do you think? Do I have any volunteers to help?
The tasks involved would be to:
- Help find speakers in your area (and pln) for the different presentations, workshops & pecha kuchas.
- Help train the speakers in the venue we will use.
- Help record & edit the sessions where needed (we will spend the next 6 months training ourselves if we don't know how)
- Help come up with innovative ways to offer this conference in different venues, etc.
What do you think? Are you interested in being part of the Virtual Round Table committee? If so, contact me at holly.longstroth [at]lancelotschool.com
