Victor Hugo Rojas B.: Integrating ICT in Initial Language Teacher Education

This presentation will demonstrate how innovative learning technologies are integrated in the course of Didactics of Teaching EFL that aims to equip prospective English teachers with the skills and knowledge to effectively integrate ICT in their future teaching practice, and propose recommendations on the design of initial language teacher education syllabus. MOODLE virtual classroom can be adjusted and used in to suit various aims and skill practice through online discussion forums, doing online assignments, attending virtual conferences, observing lessons; and above all, we need closer contact with our students.

Victor Hugo Rojas B. is an Associate Professor of Didactics of TEFL at Universidad Nacional de Educación Enrique Guzmán y Valle, and Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, both located in Lima, Peru. He has over 27 years of experience delivering under/post graduate courses, lectures, seminars and workshops. He is the founder of Peruvian English Teachers Network (PETsNet).
