This workshop will explore a number of linguistic tools available on the web to help teachers prepare for effective vocabulary teaching. Some of these tools can also be used by learners to build their vocabulary and go beyond users to become researchers of the language.

Leo Selivan is an EFL teacher, teacher trainer and materials developer with the British Council in Tel Aviv. He has a BA in Public Relations and Languages, CELTA and MEd in TESOL (with distinction). Teacher training missions have taken him to Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia and other countries in the region. Leo's professional interests include vocabulary acquisition, corpora and lexico-grammatical interface - the topics he has written on for the TeachingEnglish website, Modern English Teacher and his own blog Leoxicon.
