Good luck with your presentation tonight. It may be useful for you to know that I instigated a new European Union funded project (Comenius multilateral) that is about using Folk songs to motivate an introduce language learning. This has just been funded but we have not had our start up meeting yet.
One of our partners is from Cukorova University. Please ask me for the summary of the proposal as I cannot add it here due to space restrictions. We will be looking for many schools to join this project.
You may also be interested in a completed project, I was a partner in. This collected lullabies in 7 European languages http://www.lullabies-of-europe.org/ as a means to introduce languages in a family and simple way. The 7 video we placed on YouTube have been viewed over 2 million times so we have had a great success with this direction. see Dandini video http://www.lullabies-of-europe.org/TK/TKFlash/TKSong.htm
I look forward, I hope, to attending your workshop.

I have made a Facebook group but only as a temporary measure. There is a little information about the project there, http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=123093714410307
