Hello Heike,

My apologies for my late reply. Just like to say thank you very much for the Virtual Conference and the Pecha Kucha night. It was all fantastic and quite cutting edge. I am honoured to have been part of it. Best wishes to you.

Dear Heike,

Although I could only attend three sessions, I learned a lot! I plan on exploring the sites and programs I heard about in order to learn even more.

Thank you for the time and effort you put into this online conference.

Best wishes,

Dear Heike,

Thank you for the event, the time and effort that you must have put into it, and most of your great charm.

Thanks for involving me in the Pecha Kucha night, too!

I wish you the very best of luck with your centre and your courses!

The bits and pieces of conference I attended were really great. I checked out the Lancelot courses and I am very interested in attending the workshops.

Course itself will have to be for 2010 as I am coordinating and preparing my teachers for on-site & phone start ups right now.

I dind't see a skype number on the site. How can I get in touch with someone about the calendar. I have a tight schedule as my weekly agenda changes allt he time according to certain clients I coach and regular learners I teach.

WB when young et a chance and thanks for having invited me.

I couldn't seem to get on to the forum yesterday. Is it that my connection is too slow? I would really like to be able to join in this morning. Any ideas?

Big hug Heike! I am feeling inmersed in the pool of knowledge and culture that I was longing for! Let me tell you that I am preparing my last presentation for a project with seven schools in my city named "Semilleros de Innovación Pedagógica apoyada en TIC".
We have students' productions to share in that event. BUT the best...will be to be able to show to languages teachers in my city how Web 2.0 join teachers around the globe ...this is the best example!

Best regards

CAROL

Hi Heike
Likewise - have been wanting to meet you!
I'm afraid any contributions will be limited at the moment - I've got an inner ear infection so have to limit the time I spend on the computer (otherwise feel sick and dizzy). But it was fascinating to see the range of events going on! Really looking forward to networking here.
Cheers

Yes, I use technology in both teaching composition to native and non-native speakers and in doing online consultations for our online writing lab (many of the students who request help online are non-native speakers).

Thanks!

Hi Heike,

Thanks for the message - OURlesson is of course perfect for classroom use and that is where it can be used to its full potential. However, I would like to add that althought there are other ways and means of using virtual classrooms to record sessions, OURlesson has the added advantage that the user does not need to worry about how to store or access the recordings and that it is a perfect tool for collaborating accross sites easily, whilst controlling who has access to a given lesson :)

Dear Heike,
What technical support should I prepare in order to participate in the conference.
As I have experienced problems with it I would like to make sure all goes well.
Can I upload anything? Is Adobe Connect being used?
Yours,
Maria Traum

I'm an ict teacher trainer and a school teacher in a primary school. I also give educational psychology classses to secondary school teachers, preparing them for a national exam that enables them to join the public school. I'm very interested to the conference and time suits me, so I will gladly attend it. I'm in the process of building my pln and hoping to help others to build it.
For the time being I' m also pregnant on my 8th month, that's why I'll not be at school on Friday morning, day and time of the conference.
I' glad I've joined the ning. Thanks again.

Hi,

Thank you Heike. I'm teaching French and I've started out with Adobe Connect this semester, mostly because I'm living in Paris this year. I've also tried to work with Second Life in literature courses and language courses. I'm doing a research job about virtual worlds and learning next spring and a little book in French about Second Life is coming soon. I'll hope it will be translated into English.

I'll have a baby very soon, hopefully this week, so I don't know if I can attend to the different events coming up, but there are several forums that I'm really interested in.

I'm happy to be in the network!
