Brilliant first day, Heike!! I went over to the party at SL but I think I was a bit too early and I'm exhausted -I hope you have a great time and I'm already looking forward to tomorrow.
Hi Heike - I never did manage to get the mindmeister audio tools off the VPCE ning ! unfortunately - it seems I won't have to be worrying about Ning competence for long. This event looks really great - even though I'll be working through lots of it grrrr
Dear Heike,
I am so sorry to bother you, but I don't find my presentation on Avealmec Project in the Virtual Round Table program. Would you kindly help me, please?
Thanks a lot,
Evelyn Izquierdo

Dear Heike,
Greetings from Tokyo. I saw you performance as moderator and panelist in last VRTC and you did a superb job. Congratulations! Would you add me to your friends list?

Hi! Thanks for the welcome message. Yes, I am an educator, teaching ESL at an American school in Budapest, Hungary. It is really awesome! I have just read about The Virtual Round Table Conference on Burcu Akyol's Blog! I am really bummed to have missed the first one. I really look forward to the next one. In the meantime, I'll make some new friends here and will attend the second conference. :)

I teach live ESL online using Skype, Mikogo for desk top sharing, and sometimes Seetoo to watch videos with my stduents. Mikogo is especially cool becuase it´s free and makes the class much more live.
Thanks for your comment.
I've just completed a course on blogs and set up one to use with my younger learners (two girls of 7). It seems to be going well and, as they're just beginning to read and write I'm trying to use as many visuals as I can -usually short video clips I make with puppets. The idea is to grant them authorship too (through their parents) so it becomes a two-way communication resource.
I'd say that for now that's about all I'm doing with technology -apart from audio CDs and the occasional video. But I'd really like to find ways to motivate my older learners (late teens and young adults, most of an advanced level) to incorporate more English in their lives as part of a natural process, and I think technology offers great potential in that area.
Unfortunately we're breaking up for summer next week so I'll have to wait to meet my new groups next year.

Yes, Gary is my tutor :)
It's funny though, when I decided to do the MA at Man. Univ. I didn't know Gary, nor did I know any of you.
I can watch the recordings just fine, Heike.
You are so considerate. Now, that I can go through the University of Manchester VPN, I have no access problems with youtube or any other platform :)

Where can we find the recordings of the VRT sessions run on AdobePro?
Evelyn
Thanks for making this possible
Beatriz
The conference programme looks awesome!!! Is RSVP-ing for each event enough in terms of registration? (I've already got my Avatar in SL).
I have some questions as to parallel sessions and venues but I'll check the programme first (I'll probably find most of the answers there).
Thanks for organizing such an amazing event!
