Bio Shelly Terrell

Shelly Sanchez Terrell is a teacher trainer, author, and international speaker. She is the host of American TESOL’s Free Friday Webinars and the Social Media Community Manager for The Consultants-E. She has co-founded and organized the acclaimed educational projects, Edchat, the Elton nominated ELTChat, The Reform Symposium E-Conference and the ELTON nominated Virtual Round Table language and technology conference. Her prolific presence in the educator community through social media has been recognized by several notable entities, such as The New York Times and The Washington Post. Bio Berni Wall

Berni Wall has been an English language teacher, teacher trainer, examiner and mentor since 1977. She has taught University, Further and Higher Education, as well as 6 years of Primary school. She has also worked as a teacher trainer and as an English Language Examiner. Berni set up her own English language training business in 1995 delivering corporate language training for large multi-nationals SMEs and government agencies. She launched her online training website Gapfillers (www.gapfillers.co.uk ) in 2006 to help fill language gaps and bridge the gap between lessons for corporate clients. Gapfillers also offers teacher-supported intensive training programmes in English for work and IELTS. In addition, Berni offers individual and small group online coaching for IELTS candidates struggling to attain higher band scores. Berni’s offline work centres around intensive, immersion programmes (1&2 weeks) in Yorkshire (Fleetham Lodge) for small groups of adult, professional students. These programmes also include CPD workshops for English language teachers held twice a year. As an extension to this professional training Berni runs an online mentoring programme for EFL teachers called ELTMentor (ELTMentor). This programme helps new teachers, teachers who are moving into new areas or need more confidence, to get the support they require. Berni is a moderator for both Edchat (a twitter forum for educators all over the world) and Eltchat a global chat on twitter for English language teachers.  She is a veteran ELTON nominee having been nominated no less than 3 times, for Gapfillers, Virtual Round Table and now Eltchat! Bio Heike Philp

Heike Philp is founder and CEO of let’s talk online sprl, Brussels which has provided technology support for language learning and events in real-time via the internet since 2003. Previously she held the position as general manager of LANCELOT School GmbH i.L., an accredited teacher training center for language teaching in real-time via the internet by means of virtual classroom technology and virtual worlds. With over 20 years in education and with Germany’s first live online language school, Philp co-initiated two European funded projects and worked with 35 European partners including 17 universities to develop accredited and certified teacher training courses. These EU Projects are LANCELOT (LANguage learning with CErtified Live Online Teachers) and AVALON (Access to Virtual and Action Learning live Online. Currently she is working on her 3rd EU funded project called CAMELOT (what this stands for is still secret). Philp runs her own online conference, the Virtual Round Table conference and is co-organizer of the SLanguages conference in Second Life. She co-owns EduNation islands in Second Life and her blog let’s talk online is a rich resource for language educators with hundreds of events recordings. Currently she lives in Brussels and amongst others conducts webinars for the British Council and is deep into producing videos of language learning conversations in Second Life.

Dear Heike, will there be the recordings of all the presentations? So many of them will be run at the same time. I'd like to join many of them? ;-)  What an interesting program!
