Nominees- Lizzie Pinard, Sean Banville, Nicky Hockly, Paul Driver, & Jennifer Verschoor/ Moderated by Shelly Terrell

Check out the exciting projects and innovation which are up for a 2014 ELTon! 

Lizzie Pinard has three years of post-qualification teaching experience, but has worked in classrooms since she was a teenager. She has worked as a language assistant in France, taught various ages and levels in Romania, Indonesia and the UK. She recently completed her DELTA, gaining a triple distinction and she completed her MA in English Language Teaching at Leeds Metropolitan University with a distinction. She currently works in Sicily, at International house Palermo.

Jennifer Verschoor is an EFL teacher specialised in online teaching, mobile learning and training via virtual learning environments. Recently completed her MA in Virtual Environments. She has extensive experience as a teacher trainer  both face-to-face and online. She obtained scholarships from WorldCALL, Norwich Institute for Language Education, The Consultants-e and IATEFL. Currently, she is working as a teacher trainer for the British Council, English Speaking Scholastic Association of the River Plate, SBS International and Programa E-ducadores validated by Universidad Tecnológica Nacional. She is the co-author of "My first digital journey" an e-book for young learners published by The Round.  

Nicky Hockly is Director of Pedagogy of The Consultants-E , an award-winning online training and development organisation. She has worked in the field of ELT since 1987, is an international plenary speaker, and gives seminars, in-service workshops and teacher training courses for practising language teachers all over the world. Nicky has co-written several methodology books on the application of new technologies to language teaching, the most recent of which is on mobile learning (Going Mobile 2014, with Gavin Dudeney). Nicky lives in Barcelona, Spain, and is a technophobe turned technophile.

Sean Banville is the webmaster of nine English learning materials sites, including BreakingNewsEnglish.com, FamousPeopleLessons.com, BusinessEnglishMaterials.com, LessonsonMovies.com and ListenAminute.com. He is currently working on adding to these. He has a Master's degree in TEFL/TESL from Birmingham University. He has spent the past 20 years teaching in Japan and the UAE.

Paul is an Oxford-based language teacher, materials writer, teacher trainer, graphic designer and illustrator. His teaching philosophy and research revolve around the themes of technology, embodied cognition, play and narrative. He is currently leading several projects on locative storytelling, games and mobile technologies in ELT and is the co-author of Language Learning with Digital Video (CUP 2014).
